Jayne is an Education Program Consultant for the Iowa Department of Education and Chair of the AEL Summer Conference! She is the regional consultant for NICC, KCC, EICC, and HCC and responsible for implementing the Iowa HSED Alternative Pathways; professional development (ABE); AEFLA grant (ABE); and AmeriCorps financial duties. Prior to joining the Department, Jayne served as Director of Sponsored Program and Grant Management at Drake University for twelve years; served at DMACC for 18 years in various roles including Director of Grants, Contracts, and Federal Relations and Director of Learning Resources; and taught high school English, speech, and drama for five years. Jayne has a Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School, a Master’s degree in Library Media from USD, and a Bachelor’s degree in English from UNI. She and her husband, Randy, live in Ankeny and have three grown daughters (Lindsay, Chelsea, and Stephanie), a son-in-law (Evan) and two granddaughters (Lily and Anna).
